Alameda Wolverines Football

One primary focus is to safely teach youth the game of football. We've teamed up with Pop Warner, who is the most established youth football orginzation in the country. All staff are certified and trained in coaching proper techniques, game stategy and physical fitness.

2016 Season

Spring Conditioning

The Alameda Wolverines would like to invite all kids 5-15, to come out and participate in out annual Spring Conditioning Program. The sessions begin Sunday April 17th at Rittler Park in Alameda, 3-5pm. Please make sure athletes bring water or Gatorade for hydration. The program will run through the last week of July. A registration table for the 2016 season will also be present.

2016 Football Registration

Registration for the upcoming season should be done now, to secure a roster spot on the team. Registration is not complete unless ALL fees and documents are complete and everthing is turned in at one time. No partial payments or partial registration packets will be accepted. You will need to provide the following...

Players will be issued the following, only after ALL fees and paperwork is complete...

  • Alameda Wolverines Game Bag
  • Alameda Wolverines Riddell Football Helmet
  • Alameda Wolverines Game Jersey - Away & Home
  • Alameda Wolverines Game Pants (No Pads)

Players will be purchase the following equipment, this is mandatory to be eligible to participate in official practice beginning August 1st:

  • Colored Tethered Mouthpiece (Pop Warner only allows attached mouthpieces, clear will not be allowed)
  • Cleats, no metal spikes, must be molded or screw-type
  • Mesh Practice Jersey - White, Blue or Maize
  • Intergrated Football Pants (pants made with pads) - Blue or Black

2016 Football Dates & Info

All Wolveriene practices will be held at the College of Alameda, beginning Monday August 1st. Each player will need to attend practice M-F, 6-8pm. Week 1 will require each player to participate in 10 hours of practice before receiving helmet and pads. No player will be allowed to participate in ANY practices unless all documents and fees have been received.

Only badged personnell will be allowed to enter the practice facility during practice hours. During the first week of practice the President and GM will conduct a group parent meeting to go over things for the upcoming season. The coaches generally conduct their own team meeting but that will be at their discretion.

Plesae remember that all players need to be picked up from practice at 6pm, so please be respectful and on time as many coaches travel in order to get home to their families for the evening.
